A more comfortable way to get to Temple of Leah in Cebu, aside from taking your own private car, is through taking a taxi cab. But, most of the taxi driver normally charge a fixed rate. This is locally called a “pakyaw” agreement wherein the fees range from Php500 to Php800 round trip. This round trip agreement includes the taxi driver to wait for you, to take you back downhill.
But just recently, I was able to realize from a few tries in hailing a taxi, that some would just actually agree for a meter rate plus Php50! The trip I had from Mabolo Cebu City area to Temple of Leah actually just costs Php275, that already includes the plus Php50. You save a lot!
I also discover that there's a way commuting via jeepney, going to and from Temple of Leah, though there are only a few. That's a lot of savings and more to discover while you go uphill!
